Safeguarding indigenous lives is a new priority in global conservation policy, but what have been people’s experiences with natural resource conservation, and what concretely should such policy do?

Join us virtually on 12 and 13 August to explore these questions among Indigenous community members, activists, non-governmental organisations, scholars, and policy makers. Students welcome!

Introduced by a keynote speech by Prof Chayan Vaddhanaphuti, the conference will host discussion panels covering the topics of security, culture, livelihood, and policy in preserving and reviving natural resources among Indigenous peoples. Our cases will cover not only Thailand but also the broader ASEAN region and international experiences.
