Agro-industry Professor Receives ‘Pride and Dignity of Thais’ Award for National Contribution to Science and Technology

Professor Dr. Pornchai Rachtanapun, from the Faculty of Agro-Industry, was honored with the prestigious 2024 ‘Pride and Dignity of Thais’ Award for Science and Technology Promotion. The accolade was presented by His Excellency Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, during an official ceremony held on February 12, 2026, at the Government House.
Conferred by the National Identity Board under the Office of the Prime Minister, this award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the nation through the promotion of science and technology resulting in a tangible benefit for society.
The board officially announced this year's winners on January 13.
Chiang Mai University extends its heartfelt congratulations on this monumental success, which serves as a testament to Professor Pornchai’s tireless pursuit of knowledge and his commitment to elevating national capacity through science and technology.
