Atmosphere of a 3-Day Immersive Learning Journey into the World of Coffee!

“From Farm to Cup (Coffee Cluster Journey) – Batch 2”
Chiang Mai Province
March 13–15, 2026

Participants explored every dimension of the coffee industry—from upstream to downstream—through a combination of theoretical learning, workshops, and real field visits.

Day 1 (March 13, 2026)
Participants were introduced to the Coffee Cluster concept, along with fundamental knowledge about coffee varieties and processing methods.

Workshop: Coffee Sensory & Basic Cupping
Led by Weerawit Lamketsorn, Founder of Baristaneer Coffee Academy, and Jutatip Chalermphon.

Day 2 (March 14, 2026)
Field Visit: Ban Tad Muey Coffee Farm, Thep Sadet Subdistrict

Participants learned about shade-grown coffee cultivation and joined a hands-on workshop on selecting ripe coffee cherries directly from the trees.

Day 3 (March 15, 2026)
Study Visit at Roasto – Rosto Coffee Roasters

Participants learned about roast profiles and experienced hands-on coffee roasting.
The program concluded at Craftsmanship Caf? with a coffee drip workshop and an activity where participants designed their own signature coffee menu.

Throughout the three-day program, the course was honored by the participation of Yaowalak Wongprapharat, Director of the Cluster Research Framework for the Special Economic Corridor at the Thailand Science Research and Innovation – Area-Based Development Program Management Unit (PMU A), who served as a guest speaker and helped facilitate the training sessions. Her contribution greatly enriched the learning experience and encouraged meaningful knowledge exchange among participants.

In addition, Salinee Santiteerakul, Associate Dean of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, delivered welcoming remarks to participants .

The closing ceremony was honored by Poon Tiangboontham, Deputy Director for Planning and Organizational Strategy of the Thailand Science Research and Innovation – Area-Based Development Program Management Unit (PMU A), who presided over the closing session, leaving participants inspired and highly impressed by the program .
