ICDI, Chiang Mai University Organizes “Cyber Awareness” Workshop to Strengthen Staff Capacity in Addressing Cyber Threats

On Monday, 23 March 2026, the Information Technology Unit of the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized a hands-on workshop titled “Cyber Awareness: Understanding Cyber Threats and Ensuring Organizational Information Security” at Room ICB1102. The activity was conducted under the Digital Capability Development Project, aiming to enhance awareness and strengthen cybersecurity skills among support staff.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Ekkarat Boonchieng, Deputy Dean of the Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School and a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, was honored as the guest speaker. He delivered practical knowledge and presented case studies on how to respond to and prevent cyber threats, particularly in the context of increasingly severe and complex cyber risks that may impact organizational operations.
The workshop was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Manad Khamkong, Deputy Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation.
This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and competencies of staff in effectively preventing and mitigating cyber threats, as well as to support the College in establishing modern and sustainable approaches to organizational information security.
