CMU Hosts International Workshop on Sustainable Black Soldier Fly Farming for Organic Waste Management and Income Generation

On 5 June 2026, at CMU BIOPOLIS, Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyanuparb Anantana, Vice President, presided over the opening ceremony of the international workshop on ‘Sustainable Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Farming for Organic Waste Management and Income Generation’. Associate Professor Dr Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry and project leader, provided an overview of the program. Organized by the Food Innovation and Packaging Centre (FIN), Faculty of Agro-Industry, with support from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), the workshop aims to transfer knowledge and practical skills in black soldier fly farming and management. Participants will learn how BSF farming can be applied as part of an integrated organic waste management system based on circular economy principles, helping to convert waste into valuable resources. The workshop also seeks to promote sustainable career development and income generation sustainably in line with SDGs.
