Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University Welcomes Participants of the Overseas Ethnographic Workshop 2026 for Knowledge Exchange with RCSD

On 3 August 2026, faculty members, researchers, and students participating in the Overseas Ethnographic Workshop 2026 met with Dr. Chayan Vaddhanaphuti, Director of the Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development (RCSD), Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University. During the session, Dr. Chayan introduced the history, mission, roles, and key activities of RCSD, followed by an engaging discussion on social science research, ethnographic studies, and sustainable development with the workshop participants. The session was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences Conference Room, Chiang Mai University.
The session was part of the Overseas Ethnographic Workshop 2026, held from 1–3 August 2026 at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University. The workshop aimed to promote knowledge exchange in anthropology and ethnographic fieldwork while strengthening international academic collaboration among faculty members, researchers, and students from partner universities.
