CMU Library has passed the Green Library assessment for the year 2023 (renewal) conducted by the Thai Library Association under the Royal Patronage.

Chiang Mai University Library underwent the Green Library assessment for the year 2023 (renewal) by the Green Library Evaluation Committee, under the Thai Library Association under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The evaluation committee included Dr. Aree Thanyakitjanukit, head of the evaluation committee, Mr. Pornsak Saensri, evaluator, Mrs. Narumol Pruksasilp, evaluator, and Ms. Thanaporn Chimpae, secretary of the evaluation committee. The evaluation was conducted via Zoom on May 25, 2023.
During this assessment, the library's green operations from 2020 to 2022 were presented according to 8 criteria. The evaluation process included interviews with administrators, staff, and users, addressing any questions, and showcasing the library's green initiatives. Following this, the committee evaluated and summarized the findings, providing recommendations for further improvements to meet the green library standards.
Chiang Mai University Library successfully passed the assessment, and the results will be presented to the Green Library Club Executive Committee and proposed to the Thai Library Association for official endorsement.
