Highlights from the “Smart Training Smart Recovery” Training
22 September 2026
Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School
Unlocking Sports Science for Smarter Training and Professional Recovery
Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, organized the training course “Unlocking Sports Science for Smarter Training and Professional Recovery (Smart Training Smart Recovery)” on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from **9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Room 2-202, Building 2, MIdS CMU.
The training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of sports science and the application of physiological data to appropriate exercise and training. Key topics included understanding Maximum Heart Rate (Max HR) and Heart Rate Zones, reading and analyzing data from smartwatches and wearable technologies, as well as understanding Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Training Load.
Participants learned how to use these data to support training planning, monitoring physical readiness, and effective recovery, helping them better understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their exercise routines.
Throughout the training, participants engaged in both theoretical learning and practical applications, while exchanging knowledge and experiences. The course provided opportunities to apply body and technology-based data to personalized exercise planning, improve training efficiency, support physical recovery, and reduce the risk of injury.
Because effective training is not just about “training harder,” but about “training smarter, understanding your body, and recovering the right way.”
MIdS CMU would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all instructors and participants for being part of this learning experience and for contributing to an inspiring atmosphere throughout the training.
