On December 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (People's Republic of China time), the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University conducted a visit and engaged in negotiations with China Thailand Cross Border Industry Group (CTCB), Xi'an Branch, located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China.

During this visit, the delegation from ICDI, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, met with executives of China Thailand Cross Border Industry Group (CTCB) Xi'an City Branch. Notably, they held discussions with Mr. Wang Xi, President of China Thailand Cross Border Industry Group, Co., Ltd. (CTCB) Xi'an City Branch, who is also a Senior Partner and Vice President of Xi'an Peking University Chamber of Commerce Association. The focus of the negotiations centered on cooperation in the realm of cross-border e-commerce.

The company, with two offices, operates both offline and online formats. The visited center primarily conducts business offline, featuring a vending machine that sells frozen Thai Monthong durian pulp. Shoppers can use a QR Code to open a window, select products, and the machine will calculate the weight and price of the chosen items. The company also manages online e-commerce through Chinese platforms such as PinDuoDuo, TaoBao, JD.com, etc. In addition to frozen Monthong durian pulp, the online platform offers various durian-related products like keychains, pillows, and squishies.

This visit presents an exciting opportunity for Chiang Mai University students to participate in projects, engage in student exchanges focused on cross-border e-commerce, and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field.
