Chiang Mai University Library extends its warmest congratulations to Mr. Thanapan Kankhonsue, Practitioner Librarian and Assistant Director of the Library, on being named the "Outstanding Professional in Library and Information Science for the Year 2025." He formally received the award and certificate of honor from the Thai Library Association under the Royal Patronage. The prestigious award was presented by Khunying Kasama Varavarn Na Ayudhaya, who presided over the ceremony. Khunying Kasama is a highly respected figure, currently serving as an Expert Committee Member of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), and formerly held the positions of Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

        This annual recognition is bestowed by the Thai Library Association under the Royal Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to honor and celebrate exceptional professional achievements. The award ceremony took place at the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak, Bangkok, on March 26, 2026.
