Chiang Mai University joins forces with Salesforce to equip over 3000 students with CRM and AI skills over 3 years
19 November 2025
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
Salesforce Administrator and Agentblazer training modules will be incorporated into the curriculum for over 1,000 students annually across four major faculties
.
Bangkok – 18 November 2025 — Salesforce, the global leader in AI CRM, today announced its collaboration with Chiang Mai University (CMU), a leading national university in Thailand, to train students and faculty with essential CRM and AI skills. The curated training program will be delivered via Salesforce's free online learning platform, Trailhead.
.
Under the program, CMU will incorporate the Salesforce Administrator and Agentblazer trainings in its student curriculum for the College of Arts, Media, and Technology, CMU Business School, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering over the next 3 years.
.
Equipping Local Talent for Success in the Agentic AI Era
With the Thai government actively pursuing its plan for AI development under the National AI Strategy and Action Plan, there’s a growing demand for skilled AI professionals. However, a talent gap of 80,000 AI professionals poses a barrier to scaling innovation.
.
To help close this skills gap, it’s important for key stakeholders including companies, educational institutions and policymakers to work closely on equipping local talent with essential digital skills. Salesforce is committed to addressing this training and reskilling imperative in Thailand through collaborations such as the one with CMU.
.
The tailored training program for CMU will incorporate the Salesforce Administrator certification to help students build expertise in managing and customizing the Salesforce platform. In addition, students will take the Agentblazer module covering core agentic AI concepts and a hands-on agent building experience with Agentforce.
.
As part of the collaboration, students will also be given access to career resources, mentorship, and internship opportunities with Salesforce and its partners in the Salesforce ecosystem.
.
“With the advances in AI, it’s more important than ever for the future workforce to immerse themselves in the technology and gain practical experience as part of their educational journey.” said Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President, Chiang Mai University. “ Working with Salesforce to incorporate these essential skills into our curriculum ensures that our students get a competitive advantage for jobs of the future.”
.
Creating a Holistic Education Experience for Lasting Impact
In addition to incorporating training material in the student curriculum, Salesforce will conduct Train-The-Trainer sessions for CMU lecturers to enhance their agentic AI and Salesforce technology expertise.
.
In the future, the company also plans to work with CMU to bolster the curriculum with more advanced Developer and Marketing modules.
.
By creating a comprehensive training program, Salesforce aims to help current and future CMU cohorts create pathways for a career in the technology industry or further education in related fields.
.
“At Salesforce, we have a strong commitment to developing the regional workforce, both current and future, especially as we undergo a fundamental shift in how work is done in the AI era.” said Seng Ping Ng, Public Sector Lead, Salesforce ASEAN. “It’s a pleasure for us to collaborate with a visionary educational institute like CMU to build Thailand’s digital talent pool and propel the nation’s agentic AI future.”
