Faculty of Economics, CMU Organises “Econ CMU Next-Gen Work” Workshop to Advance Digital Automation and Data-Driven Innovation

On 18 June 2026, from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University organised the “Econ CMU Next-Gen Work: Creating Innovation for the Future Workplace (Session 1)” workshop, hosted by the Interest Group – Artificial Intelligence (AI). The programme aimed to strengthen the capabilities of academic and professional support staff in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and modern digital technologies to improve operational efficiency, reduce repetitive tasks, and support the Faculty's transformation into a Data-Driven Organisation.
Held at Room ECB3308, Building 3, the workshop featured the session “Transforming Work at the Faculty of Economics with AppSheet, Google Apps Script and Data Studio: Designing, Developing and Applying Digital Solutions to Enhance Organisational Efficiency.” The session was delivered by Asst. Prof. Niran Pisut-anon, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.
Participants explored practical applications of AppSheet, Google Apps Script, and Data Studio in developing workflow automation, managing organisational data, and creating interactive dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. The workshop demonstrated how digital technologies can streamline administrative processes, improve data accuracy, and strengthen organisational performance through effective data management.
The programme reflects the Faculty's commitment to fostering digital innovation, empowering its staff with future-ready skills, and promoting the effective use of technology to build a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable Data-Driven Organisation.
