NurseCMU and Paracelsus Medical University Discuss Joint Curriculum Initiative

The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University (NurseCMU) held an online meeting with Paracelsus Medical University, Austria, on April 20, 2026, to discuss collaboration on joint curriculum development.

Participants from NurseCMU included Associate Professor Dr. Phanida Juntasopeepun, Associate Dean; Associate Professor Dr. Noppamas Sripetchwandee, Assistant Dean; Dr. Parichat Thapwong; and Mr. Apichat Kardosod from the Surgical Nursing Department, along with Professor Dr. Daniel Thomas Bressington, Visiting Professor. They were joined by Professor Dr. Nadja Nestler, Professor for Nursing Science and Advanced Nursing Practice, and Assistant Professor Dr. Patrick Kutschar, Research Associate, from Paracelsus Medical University.

The meeting focused on reviewing project progress and planning the development of a Pain Nursing curriculum in collaboration with partner institutions across Europe and Asia, with the goal of co-developing a proposal for an Erasmus+ project. Dr. Parichat Thapwong outlined the overall scope of the project. The meeting was part of a series of ongoing discussions between the two institutions to initiate the project.
