Signing of MoU between CMU and Communication University of China

Assistant Professor Todsaporn Pichaiya, Vice President, as well as Assistant Professor Dr. Worakanya Buraphatthana, Assistant to the President, and the Deans of the Faculties of Mass Communication, CAMT and ICDI, along with involved administrators welcomed the executives of Communication at the University of China (CUC). Professor Liao Xiangzhong, Chair of the University Council, led the team of six delegates on their visit to CMU and to sign a ‘Memorandum of Understanding for an Academic Exchange Program between the Communication University of China and Chiang Mai University’, as well as to discuss future academic collaboration, on December 13, 2023, at the Executive Meeting Room 2, in the office of the University.
After the signing, both parties discussed collaboration in the field of digital arts and communication and the establishment of a research institute. The next joint project will be a summer school workshop, a double-degree program including joint research in digital arts and communication.
The pilot faculties and sectors driving the collaboration are the faculties of Mass Communication, CAMT and ICDI, with the potential to expand to other bodies in both institutions.
