International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, Hosts DIFT 2026-1 Conference under the Theme “Regulating the Revolution: Digital Asset Business 2026”

International College of Digital Innovation
International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized the Digital Innovation and Financial Technology Conference (DIFT) 2026-1 on Saturday, June 6, 2026, under the theme “Regulating the Revolution: Digital Asset Business 2026.” The conference brought together students, academics, and professionals from international organizations to exchange knowledge and insights in the fields of digital innovation and financial technology.
The event was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the College of Digital Innovation, who delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a special keynote lecture by Mr. Thitiwat Wisarath, Chief Legal Compliance and Risk Officer, Gulf Binance Co., Ltd., on the topic “Digital Assets Business under Thai Laws.”
The conference aimed to encourage graduate students to disseminate their research work, provide a platform for academic knowledge exchange, build confidence in research presentation, and foster international academic collaboration.
A total of nineteen graduate students presented their research orally. The Outstanding Research Presentation Awards were granted to:
• Ms. Phatteera Phengphit (Doctoral Student) for her research titled “Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development: Examining the Effects of ICT Infrastructure on Socioeconomic Outcomes in Thailand” supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Chanaim.
• Mrs. Lin He (Doctoral Student) for her research titled “Do Filter Bubbles Exist on TikTok?
Empirical Findings from 669 Chinese University Students” supervised by Dr. Michael John Harris.
• Ms. Haiting Liu (Master Student) for her research titled “AI-Driven Personalized Recommendations in Digital Banking: Examining Privacy, Trust, and Loyalty from a FinTech Perspective” supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yahya Dawod.
The DIFT 2026-1 Conference reflects ICDI’s strong commitment to nurturing graduate students to be future-ready and to promoting international knowledge exchange in the areas of digital innovation and financial technology.
