ICDI Held “Empower Your Academic Future” Training to Support Academic Staff in Academic Rank Advancement

International College of Digital Innovation
The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, held a training session titled “Empower Your Academic Future” to support academic staff in preparing for academic rank advancement. The activity was organized under the Academic Staff Development Project for Fiscal Year 2026 and took place on 20 May 2026 at the International College of Digital Innovation, with active participation from ICDI faculty members.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Sriyab, Associate Dean, delivered welcoming remarks to the speakers and participants. He emphasized the importance of systematic preparation for academic career advancement as a key mechanism for strengthening academic staff capacity, supporting sustainable professional growth, and enhancing the College’s long-term academic quality.
The training featured two main sessions: “Pathways to Academic Advancement: Preparing for Academic Career Progression” and “Understanding CMUPSF: Opportunities for Faculty Development and Growth”. The sessions were delivered by representatives from the Human Resources Management Division, Office of University CMU, namely Ms. Methinya Siroros, Ms. Atcharee Somwong, and Ms. Naruemon Suksao. The speakers shared insights on academic career progression, the CMUPSF system, academic output preparation, and self-development planning for academic rank advancement.
The training provided an important platform for enhancing faculty members’ knowledge, understanding, and motivation in developing their academic potential. It also strengthened their readiness for academic rank advancement, contributing to the continued development of academic quality, research capacity, and the sustainable advancement of the College’s missions.
