ICDI, CMU Holds 2026 Anniversary Merit-Making Ceremony, Congratulates Faculty Members on Academic Appointments, and Presents Awards for the ICDI Innovation Hackathon for Smart Work 2026

International College of Digital Innovation
The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, held its 2026 Anniversary Merit-Making Ceremony on Thursday, 4 June 2026, at the multipurpose area on the 1st floor of the International College of Digital Innovation. The ceremony was organized to bring auspiciousness to the college, strengthen unity among personnel, and promote participation in preserving Thai arts and culture.
The event was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ooncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, together with the college executives, faculty members, and staff. The activities began at 8.00 a.m. with a ceremony to pay respect to the spirit house and guardian spirits of the college. At 9.09 a.m., the Buddhist religious ceremony was held, including a sermon delivered by the presiding monk, the offering of requisites to monks, and the offering of lunch to the monks. The ceremony took place in a warm and auspicious atmosphere.
At 11.30 a.m., the college held a flower presentation ceremony to congratulate faculty members who had been appointed to academic positions, namely Assistant Professor Dr. Somsak Chan-aim and Assistant Professor Dr. Thanarat Rattanadamrongaksorn, on the occasion of their appointments as Assistant Professors. The ceremony was joined by executives, faculty members, and staff, who warmly extended their congratulations.
In addition, the college announced the results and presented awards for the “ICDI Innovation Hackathon for Smart Work 2026,” which was organized to promote innovative thinking and the creative development of internal work support systems. The winning team was “Ying Luan 2026” with the project “ICDI Smart Office Hours+,” an intelligent system for managing faculty office hours.
The first runner-up award went to “ICDI Support+” for the project “ICDI Smart G&S Navigator,” a system for recommending scholarships and opportunities. The second runner-up award went to “Ninjas No.1” for the project “One DataSight: A Centralized Data Hub for Strategic Decision-Making.”
Two honorable mention awards were also presented to “T-Neung” for the project “ICDI Smart Energy Workflow,” an automated system for energy usage and workflow data, and “NewsFlow AI” for the project “Smart Digital News Platform for Digital Organization,” an integrated intelligent platform for organizational communication management.
After the ceremony, the college executives, faculty members, and staff joined a luncheon together. The gathering reflected the strong relationships, unity, and active participation of personnel within the organization.
This activity reflects the commitment of the International College of Digital Innovation to promoting morality, organizational culture, and innovation development in order to enhance work processes and move toward becoming a sustainable digital organization.
