Students from International College of Digital Innovation Win Minecraft Game and Virtual World Development Contest on "Energy for Sustainable World" Theme

In an impressive display of innovation and talent, second-year undergraduate students from the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University secured top honors in a highly competitive Minecraft game development competition. The contest, centered around the theme of "Bio-Circular-Green Energy for Sustainable Living," was part of the BCG Energy Skills Development Project organized by the Energy Management Center and Technology of Kasetsart University, with budgetary support from the Power Development Fund of the Energy Regulatory Commission Office 2022.

The event, which took place on March 30, 2024, witnessed the participation of eight students from the International College of Digital Innovation, forming two teams. These students were among the final 10 teams selected to compete in the semi-final round held at True Digital Park Grand Hall 3 @True Digital Park West, Sukhumvit Road, Phra Khanong District, Bangkok.

Under the guidance of their mentors, these talented undergraduates showcased their prowess in developing virtual worlds aligned with theoretical principles of energy and environment. The objective of the competition was to enhance energy literacy among youth and entrepreneurs, focusing on the transition towards a BCG economy and the pivotal role of clean energy in sustainable development.

The winners of the competition were celebrated for their outstanding achievements, with the first-place team, ICDI Team 1, comprising Mr. Chanchai Chan, Ms. Thitirat Charoensawan, Mr. Pantuch Sangkaew, and Mr. Athinan Tangchiamsri, receiving a cash prize of 100,000 baht. Meanwhile, the first runner-up team, ICDI Team 2, composed of Ms. Khao Marukapitak, Ms. Pasinee Chariyanukit, Ms. Witchawee Noinivorn, and Ms. Kammaporn Kangwalwattanasiri, earned a commendable prize of 70,000 baht.
