The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized a special lecture entitled "From Lab to Market: Unlocking New Opportunities for ICDI Research and Innovation" as part of its Academic Staff Development Program on 1 July 2026 at ICB1102. The event was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Sriyab, Vice Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, who emphasized the importance of enhancing faculty capabilities to keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital landscape while fostering research and innovation that deliver tangible benefits to society.

The lecture featured Assistant Professor Dr. Kasemsak Uthaichana, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University, as the guest speaker. He shared valuable insights into the roles of Angkaew Holding and the Science and Technology Park in driving research and innovation, highlighting opportunities within the innovation ecosystem as well as strategies for translating research outcomes from the laboratory into commercial applications and creating meaningful economic and social impact.

This special lecture reflects ICDI's commitment to strengthening the research and innovation capabilities of its academic staff while promoting the development of knowledge that can be effectively translated into practical applications. By fostering collaboration with industry partners and research support organizations, the College aims to enhance the quality and impact of its research, address national priorities, and contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
