MIdS CMU Joins Forces with Chiang Mai Partners to Advance Food Management and Develop Future-Oriented Academic Programs

On Monday, May 25, 2026, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University (MIdS CMU) hosted a meeting on “Directions for Advancing Food Management in Chiang Mai Province” at Room 2-202, Building 2, MIdS CMU.
The meeting was opened and chaired by Professor Dr. Puangrat Kaewlom, Associate Dean of MIdS CMU, and was honored by the participation of Termchai Termyingyong, Vice President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, along with representatives from various organizations and networks involved in food management initiatives across Chiang Mai Province, including partners working under the Thai Health Promotion Foundation’s Food Policy Network and other related agencies.
The meeting aimed to:
Foster a shared understanding among stakeholders;
Provide a platform for presenting ongoing initiatives and achievements;
Exchange perspectives on future development directions; and
Strengthen collaborative efforts in alignment with Thailand’s Food Management Action Plan at the provincial level.
In addition, insights and recommendations gathered from the meeting will serve as valuable input for the development of future graduate programs at MIdS CMU, including:
Master’s Program in Nutrition and Dietetics
Wellness Business and Management Program
These programs are designed to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to address emerging challenges in health, nutrition, society, and the rapidly growing wellness industry at both national and international levels.
