CMU Faculty of Economics Promotes No Gift Policy to Foster Transparency and Good Governance

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with supporting staff members, participated in the 5th “Econ Internal Meeting” for supporting staff at Room ECB 3202, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University. The meeting was held to listen to feedback, exchange ideas, and establish guidelines for developing the operations of supporting staff in alignment with the Faculty’s goals and strategic directions.
The meeting aimed to strengthen internal communication within the organization, foster mutual understanding in work practices, and provide an opportunity for staff members to share opinions and exchange constructive approaches to work. These efforts are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Faculty’s operational efficiency and service quality.
On this occasion, the executive team also communicated the principles of integrity and transparency in work practices, along with Chiang Mai University’s “No Gift Policy.” The policy emphasizes honesty, transparency, accountability, and refraining from accepting gifts or benefits of any kind in the course of duty. This initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to promoting good governance and strengthening long-term public trust in the organization.
