ICDI Hosts “Hackathon for Smart Work 2026” to Drive Digital Innovation and Advance Smart Organizational Practices
3 June 2026
International College of Digital Innovation
The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized the “ICDI Innovation Hackathon for Smart Work 2026” under its Digital Capability Development Program. The event aimed to provide support staff with an opportunity to showcase their potential in creating digital innovations and transforming ideas into practical solutions that enhance organizational workflows. The activity was held on 28 May 2026 at the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University.
The Hackathon was organized under the theme “Smart Work: Creating Intelligent Work Processes through Digital Technology.” The initiative focused on leveraging digital technologies to improve work efficiency, reduce operational complexity, and promote systematic collaboration. Participants were encouraged to develop prototype solutions with the potential for future real-world implementation.
A total of five teams of support staff participated in the competition. Each team consisted of members from various units within the college, forming cross-functional teams that fostered collaboration across different areas of expertise. This approach encouraged the integration of diverse knowledge, perspectives, and professional experiences to develop innovative solutions that address organizational challenges and operational needs.
During the event, each team presented its ideas and project outcomes to a panel of distinguished judges and engaged in in-depth question-and-answer sessions. Evaluation criteria included the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, creativity, potential for practical implementation, and professionalism in presentation.
The ICDI Innovation Hackathon for Smart Work 2026 served as an important platform for support staff to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaborative skills, and contribute to the college’s transformation into a digitally driven organization. The initiative reflects ICDI’s commitment to enhancing operational excellence through the effective and sustainable use of digital technology.
