CMU Named Smoke-Free Institution of 2024 by Medical Association of Thailand

CMU received the Outstanding Smoke-Free Institution Award 2024 by the Medical Association of Thailand (MAT). The award was presented by the Minister of Public Health Dr. Chonlanan Srikaew to Assistant Professor Dr. Chainarong Luengvilai, Assistant to the President, at the Fah Sai Academic Conference for Smoke-free Academic Institutions 2024 taking place at the MAT Building in Bangkok on February 19, 2024.
At the event, CMU Associate Professor Dr. Wanicha Pungchompoo, Mr. Preeda Phutthawong and Mr. Kiattisak Chailangka presented the best practice framework to a total of about 600 members of health networks, including the Healthcare Profession Network for Smoke-free Thailand, the Medical Profession Network for Tobacco Control, the National Association for Smoke-free Thailand, as well as educational institutions nationwide. As a university promoting health, CMU is committed to promoting understanding, collaborating with students and employees, as well as other sectors to minimize tobacco and e-cigarette smoking.
