The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, Welcomes Delegation from Tsinghua University and Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS

On 25 February 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of ICDI, together with the college’s executive team, warmly welcomed a delegation from Tsinghua University, People’s Republic of China. The delegation was headed by Prof. Guo Yong, Vice Chair of the Tsinghua University Council, and included deans, associate deans, and representatives from various faculties of Tsinghua University.

On this occasion, Professor Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, M.D., President of Chiang Mai University, delivered the official welcoming remarks and signed a university-level Memorandum of Understanding to promote academic collaboration, research cooperation, and joint innovation development between the two institutions.

In addition, a faculty-level Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, and Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS). The agreement was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Manad Khamkong, Associate Dean, on behalf of ICDI and by Prof. Zou Jian’e, Associate Dean, on behalf of Tsinghua SIGS. The collaboration aims to advance joint initiatives in teaching and learning, student and staff exchanges, as well as collaborative research and digital innovation projects in the future.

The signing ceremony was held at the Office of the University’s Phraya Srivisarnvacha Room, Chiang Mai University, with executives and representatives from various faculties of the University in attendance as witnesses. The event reflects the strong commitment of both institutions to fostering sustainable and tangible international academic partnerships in the years to come
