27 June 2025
International College of Digital Innovation
On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, from 09.00 to 13.00 hrs. at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam Hotel, Bangkok,
Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), along with Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, Dr. Annop Tananchana, and Assistant Professor Dr. Nopasit Chakpitak, were invited by the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, to attend the event
“From Partnership to Impact: Strengthening Thailand’s Innovation Ecosystem and Empowering Entrepreneurial Universities through Global Collaboration.”
The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), through the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC), in collaboration with key stakeholders from government, industry, and academia.
The event featured an inspiring platform to foster the Triple Helix collaboration and promote the commercialization of research outputs. Key highlights included:
Special Talk on “Becoming and Leading an Entrepreneurial University: A Principal’s Reflection” by Professor Sir Jim McDonald, GBE FREng FRSE, Principal & Vice-Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde
Panel Discussion on “A Perspective on How to Enhance Innovation Ecosystems: Lessons from the Past” featuring leading voices from Thai universities, industry, and the National Innovation Agency (NIA)
This participation not only reflects ICDI’s commitment to fostering global partnerships but also emphasizes the college’s role in driving Chiang Mai University toward becoming an entrepreneurial and innovation-driven institution in support of Thailand’s long-term development goals.
