The Research Administration Unit, International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, organized the Annual Training on Human Research Ethics 2025 on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 08:30 to 16:30 hrs. at Room ICB 1102 (Safe Zone), International College of Digital Innovation.

The training was honored to have Asst. Prof. Dr. Liwa Pardthaisong, Dr. Ponjan Walter, together with the staff from the Research Ethics Committee Office, Chiang Mai University, serving as guest speakers and resource people.

The objectives of the training were to provide participants with knowledge and understanding of the evolution and principles of human research ethics, the criteria and considerations in ethical review, research proposal writing and research tools, as well as the informed consent process for participants. The program aimed to prepare trainees to apply the skills gained from the training to enhance the quality of their research and academic outputs in alignment with international standards of human research ethics, thereby strengthening collaboration between public and private organizations, both domestically and internationally.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manad Khamkong, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, with faculty members, graduate students, and relevant staff in attendance.

The training sessions covered the following topics:
• The Evolution and Ethical Principles for Human Research
• Principles and Key Criteria for Ethical Consideration in Human Research
• Guidelines for Project Submission and Completing Required Information through Online Submission
• Guidelines for Writing a Research Proposal and Methodology for Ethical Consideration
• Participant Informed Consent Process

Participants who attended more than 80% of the sessions will later be awarded a certificate issued by the Research Ethics Committee Office, Chiang Mai University.
