International College of Digital Innovation
On 22 December 2025, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, underwent the faculty-level educational quality assessment under the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) for Academic Year 2024. EdPEx serves as an organizational management framework that emphasizes systemic excellence, effective governance, and the achievement of long-term strategic outcomes.
The assessment panel comprised distinguished experts from various disciplines within Chiang Mai University, as follows:
1. Assistant Professor Wattana Chartapisak, M.D., Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, served as the Chairperson.
2. Associate Professor Dr. Hathaikan Chowwanapoonpohn, Faculty of Pharmacy, served as a Committee Member.
3. Assistant Professor Dr. Manissaward Jintapitak, College of Arts, Media and Technology, served as a Committee Member.
4. Assistant Professor Dr. Uraiwarn Hanwong, Faculty of Education, served as a Committee Member.
5. Assistant Professor Dr. Chartchai Doungsa-ard, Deputy Director of the Information Technology Service Center, Trainee Assessor
During the assessment, Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, presented the College’s vision and strategic direction. The presentation highlighted the alignment between ICDI’s core missions and Chiang Mai University’s strategic framework, while also addressing the evolving digital landscape. The Dean further reflected on leadership roles in steering the organization, data-driven management practices, and the application of best practices to continuously enhance institutional performance.
The executive team and staff members participated in in-depth interviews with the assessment committee to present the College’s achievements in education management, research, and administration. The session also provided an opportunity to receive strategic recommendations, which will serve as key inputs for reviewing management systems, strengthening organizational readiness, and enhancing international competitiveness.
This EdPEx assessment plays a vital role in fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement and Organizational Learning. It enables the International College of Digital Innovation to leverage its systemic strengths and development opportunities to advance toward performance excellence, in support of its vision to become a globally recognized institution in digital innovation education.
