On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), Chiang Mai University, organized a training session titled “Transitioning from ISO 9001 to ISO 21001: Developing Quality and Standard Systems in Accordance with ISO 21001:2018.”

The event began with a welcoming speech by Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of MIdS CMU. The training was led by Dr. Chawathip Jindawijak, Senior Director of Conformity Assessment Bodies, Senior Director of Certification Systems Division, and Acting Director of the Inspection Division at the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), who served as the keynote speaker for this session.

The training was attended by the executive team and staff of MIdS, with the aim of studying the principles and requirements of ISO 21001:2018. The goal is to develop an educational management system that aligns with the ISO 21001:2018 standard—an international Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) designed to help institutions manage efficiently with a learner-centered approach. The system supports quality learning, continuous assessment and improvement, and elevates the management and service quality to meet international standards, in preparation for ISO 21001:2018 certification.

The training was held at Meeting Room 1-101, MIdS Building, CMU.
