MIdS CMU Organizes “MIdS Transformation: From Concept to Borderless Learning”

Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University (MIdS CMU) organized the “MIdS Transformation: From Concept to Borderless Learning” program for CMU faculty members, curriculum developers, and support staff involved in the development of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary graduate programs (MDP/IDP). The event was held on May 25–26, 2026, at Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai.

The program aimed to foster knowledge exchange and build a shared understanding of future-oriented curriculum development, as well as learning design that aligns with future skills and the rapidly evolving demands of the labor market.

Driving Future Education Through Flexible Learning

The initiative focused on the development of Modular and Stackable Curricula, an innovative educational approach that offers flexibility and responds to the learning needs of individuals across all stages of life. The program also sought to establish a network of Change Agents in curriculum development to support educational transformation within Chiang Mai University.

Day 1: Exploring the Future of Education

On May 25, 2026, participants attended lectures and discussions on emerging trends in education and future curriculum development. The sessions were led by:

The speakers shared insights on educational trends, workforce demands, and strategies for designing flexible curricula capable of adapting to future changes.

Day 2: Workshop on Modular & Stackable Curriculum Design

On May 26, 2026, participants engaged in a hands-on workshop focused on Modular & Stackable Curriculum Development, guided by a team of expert facilitators:
