Faculty of Economics, CMU Explores the Power of Claude AI to Enhance Teaching, Research and Professional Practice

On 19 June 2026, from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University organised the “Econ CMU Next-Gen Work: Creating Innovation for the Future Workplace (Session 1)” workshop, hosted by the Interest Group – Artificial Intelligence (AI). The programme aimed to strengthen the capabilities of academic and professional support staff in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and modern digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and support the Faculty's transformation into a Data-Driven Organisation.
Held at Room ECB3308, Building 3, the workshop featured the session “Claude AI for the Modern Workplace at the Faculty of Economics: Enhancing Productivity for Academic and Professional Staff.” The session was delivered by Asst. Prof. Chatchai Duangsaad, Ph.D., from the College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University.
Participants explored practical applications of Claude AI in teaching and learning, research, data analysis, document preparation, information synthesis, and content creation. The workshop also highlighted best practices for integrating generative AI into academic and administrative work responsibly, enabling staff to improve productivity while maintaining quality, accuracy, and professional standards.
The programme reflects the Faculty's commitment to empowering its staff with future-ready digital competencies and promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence to foster innovation, continuous learning, and evidence-based organisational development.
