ICDI CMU Signs Letter of Intent with DeepEdu to Advance China–ASEAN Collaboration in AI Education

On 3 June 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University (ICDI CMU), visited Deep-Education Technology Group (DeepEdu), one of China’s leading providers of AI-driven educational technology and innovation solutions, in Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China. The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and explore opportunities for collaboration in AI education, digital learning platforms, educational innovation, and educational partnerships between China and ASEAN.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattasit Sukhahuta, Vice President for Digital Technology and Law, Chiang Mai University, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopasit Chakpitak, Former Dean and Distinguished Professor of the International College of Digital Innovation, and members of the College’s staff.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Yuan Manjun, Co-founder of Heqi Juli Education Group and General Manager of DeepEdu, along with the company’s executive team. During the visit, DeepEdu presented its latest developments in AI-powered education, intelligent learning platforms, digital learning resources, and strategies for accelerating digital transformation in the education sector. The company also shared its experiences in leveraging AI technologies to enhance teaching and learning, improve educational accessibility, and drive innovation through modern digital solutions.

Both parties exchanged perspectives on the future of artificial intelligence in education, including AI-assisted teaching and learning, intelligent learning systems, digital content development, educational data analytics, and personalized learning. The discussions highlighted the growing role of AI in transforming educational models, expanding access to learning opportunities, and supporting lifelong learning in the digital era.

The meeting also explored opportunities for collaboration within the framework of China–ASEAN educational cooperation, focusing on AI applications in education, digital learning platform development, educational resource sharing, teacher and educational personnel development, international talent cultivation, and educational innovation. Particular attention was given to the development of AI-powered learning solutions and digital education services that can effectively support educational institutions across Thailand and the ASEAN region.

To formalize future collaboration, ICDI CMU and Deep-Education Technology Group (DeepEdu) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI), expressing their shared commitment to advancing cooperation in AI education, digital learning platforms, educational innovation, international talent development, and China–ASEAN educational collaboration. The partnership will leverage the strengths of both organizations in education, technology development, and international networks to support the growth of a future-oriented digital education ecosystem across the region.

The visit and signing ceremony mark another significant milestone in ICDI CMU’s efforts to expand its international partnership network and promote the integration of artificial intelligence into education. Through this collaboration, the College aims to create new opportunities for learning, research, and innovation while contributing to the development of a more connected, accessible, and sustainable digital education ecosystem for the future.
