International College of Digital Innovation
On 22–23 November 2025, a delegation from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of ICDI, visited Shanghai Dianji University (SDJU) for academic exchange and cooperation discussions. The visit aimed to strengthen mutual understanding, expand collaboration in digital innovation and intelligent education, and promote deeper China–Thailand engagement in talent development and research collaboration.
During the visit, the ICDI delegation held cordial meetings with SDJU leaders and faculty members. Both institutions exchanged views on discipline development in the context of digital transformation, international talent cultivation, industry–education integration, and potential areas for future cooperation. They highlighted strong complementarities in artificial intelligence and digital innovation and agreed that the prospects for collaboration are highly promising.
While in Shanghai, the ICDI delegation also participated in the 2025 International Cooperation Forum for Universities of Applied Sciences, hosted by SDJU. The forum brought together participants to discuss topics such as AI-empowered talent development, global connectivity, and education–industry integration. At the forum, ICDI Dean Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen was invited to deliver a keynote speech on the theme “AI for Learning, Learning for AI: The Future of Intelligent Education,” in which she shared ICDI’s insights and vision for integrating AI into teaching and learning.
The visit and forum participation further strengthened the foundation for cooperation between the two institutions. ICDI looks forward to maintaining close communication with SDJU and advancing substantive collaboration in joint research, faculty and student exchanges, co-developed courses, and cross-border digital innovation initiatives—contributing to intelligent education and digital talent development across the China–ASEAN region.
