International College of Digital Innovation
The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, participated in the “International Culinary Education Alliance via Metaverse Immersive Training: Chef MetaLab” meeting under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union during 20–23 May 2026 in Lyon - Ecully, France, hosted by Institut Lyfe, Campus Gerard Pelisson.
The delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, together with Dr. Naret Suyaroj and Mr. Pirapong Wongsaensee. Representing ICDI-CMU, the team joined discussions and collaborative activities with partner institutions including Institut Lyfe (France), International Hellenic University (Greece), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal), Chengdu University (Mainland China), and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong, China), while also presenting the project progress on Design Requirements.
In addition, participants visited the Culinary Education learning environment at Institut Lyfe and joined cooking workshops and French culinary cultural exchange activities. Some of the meals and activities showcased the training outcomes of Culinary Arts Management students at the institution.
Participation in this project represents another important opportunity for ICDI-CMU to strengthen international academic collaboration and further explore the application of Metaverse and Immersive Technology for future education and innovation.
