The 2026 CMU Staff Sports Games were organized under the concept of “Sports for Sustainability.” The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, highlighted by colorful parades from personnel across all faculties and units. The event also promoted waste reduction, efficient use of resources, and the adoption of environmentally friendly materials, reflecting Chiang Mai University’s commitment to integrating the joy of sports with social and environmental responsibility in a tangible way.

This year, the International College of Digital Innovation presented its parade under the theme “Zero E-Waste Hero: Transforming Digital Waste into Sustainable Creative Power.” The parade showcased innovative approaches to electronic waste (E-Waste) management by upcycling discarded technological materials into cheering equipment. This concept reflects the perspective that innovation is not only about creating something new, but also about maximizing the value of existing resources. The initiative aligns with sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12) and demonstrates ICDI’s commitment to driving digital innovation alongside environmental stewardship through the power of sports and unity.
