‘Dao IJ’ Team wins honorable mention for Radio News Documentary at 16th Sai Fa Noi Awards 2020.

Thai Broadcast Journalists Association, True Corporation Public Co., Ltd., National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission and Office of Thai Media Fund co-hosted the 16th edition of Sai Fa Noi Awards 2020 on December 27, 2020. The event aimed to promote new ideas in the category of safe and creative development of media and media ecology. Together they foster student’s journalism ability in producing news, radio news documentary and network television news documentary, and provide a platform for them to showcase their creativity, preparing them for journalism-related fields of work. In this edition, 48 pieces were submitted for competition, of which 37 from 10 institutions were network television news documentaries and 11 from 3 institutions were radio news documentaries.
Team ‘Dao IJ’ from the Faculty of Mass Communication, Chiang Mai University, was awarded an honorable mention for their radio news on the welfare of ‘platform labourers’ and the legal loopholes, receiving a plaque of honor and 5,000 baht prize money.
The team members include Ms. Torphun Kantamool, Ms. Napatsorn Mahawan, Ms. Raphiphan Phanthurut, Ms. Petradee Jantima and Mr. Panuwat Saphankaew, with Assist.Prof. Laddawan Inthajakra the advisor.
