MIdS CMU Contemporary ChineseLanguage Teaching Program Participates in SoTL11; University Representatives Receive the Host Flag for SoTL12 in 2027

Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Salinee Santiteerakul, Associate Dean of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), Chiang Mai University, together with Dr. Pornsuda Insan, Assistant Dean, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jirapipat Thanyaphongphat, Chair of the Graduate Program in Contemporary Chinese Language Teaching, a group of students from the Contemporary Chinese Language Teaching Program participated in the 11th Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Conference 2026 (SoTL11).

The conference, held under the theme “Designing the Future of Learning: A Synergy of AI, Creativity, Innovation, and Sustainability,” took place from 28–29 May 2026 at the Surat Osathanugrah Library Building, Bangkok University, Pathum Thani Province.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Jirapipat Thanyaphongphat, Chair of the Graduate Program in Contemporary Chinese Language Teaching (MIdS CMU), served as a panel speaker in the academic discussion session entitled “Decoding Interdisciplinary Projects: From Classroom Concepts to Real-World Impact.”

Furthermore, on 29 May 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Salinee Santiteerakul, Associate Dean of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, officially received the conference flag on behalf of the University, marking Chiang Mai University’s role as the host institution for the 12th Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Conference (SoTL12) to be held in 2027.

The conference aimed to provide students with opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences with academics, researchers, and students from various institutions both in Thailand and abroad. It also encouraged participants to enhance their capabilities in innovation, media design, and educational technology, while developing academic writing skills for publication in scholarly journals. In addition, the event promoted effective educational management, curriculum development, and learning resource administration that align with the principles of Transformative Learning and Learning for All. These efforts support the development of 21st-century learning skills and strengthen academic networking and collaboration among educational personnel and institutions.
