The CMU Blockchain Association Club of ICDI, in collaboration with digiCNX, welcomed Emmy-nominated Professor David Craig for a special talk titled "The Rise of Global Creator and 'Wang Hong' Culture with David Craig." Professor Craig is a distinguished expert in Hollywood, Chinese, and social media industries, a television historian, and a pioneer in the field of creator studies at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in University of Southern California, USA.
The event drew a diverse audience eager to learn about the creator economy's impact on Western and Eastern markets. It focused on the rise of 'Wang Hong' culture, where Chinese internet celebrities leverage their online presence to gain substantial followings and influence. The event took place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 17:00 - 18:30 hrs. at Internatonal College of Digital Innovation Chiang Mai University.
