CMU has been ranked at 301 – 350 by Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2020

The Asia University Rankings 2020 by Times Higher Education Rankings has been announced with the first top 5 universities of Asia ranked as 1. Tsinghua University 2. Peking University 3. National University of Singapore 4. University of Hong Kong and 5. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Thai universities ranked at 122 for Mahidol University; 134 Mae Fah Luang University; 201 – 250 Chulalongkorn University; 251 -300 King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburee; 301 – 350 Chiang Mai University, Kon Kaen University and Suranaree University of Technology; 351 – 400 Kasetsart University and King Mongkut ‘s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang; and 401+ King Monkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Mahasarakham University, Naraesuan University, Prince of Songkhla University, Silpakorn University, Srinakarinwirot University and Thammasat University.
Utilising the following criteria of 1) Teaching (25%) 2) Research (30%) 3) Citations (30%) 4) International Outlook (7.5%) and 5) Industry income (from overall 100%).
