The International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University proudly participated in the Thailand New Year tradition by joining the water pouring ceremony in honor of the former president, rector, and senior professors of Chiang Mai University for the year 2024.

Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksathit, Associate Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, department administrators, faculty, and college personnel took part in this cherished ceremony, which was an opportunity for current faculty, staff, students, and alumni of Chiang Mai University to uphold and preserve the rich Lanna culture and traditions.

The event took place on April 26, 2024, at the Sak Lan area next to the Sala Dhamma (Dhamma Hall), Chiang Mai University. The ceremony commenced in the afternoon, where participants from all departments gathered. A highlight of the event was a captivating nail dance performance. Awards were presented for various competitions, including the water pouring procession, native costume, and Laab contest.

The International College of Digital Innovation proudly received accolades in the local costume competition:

- In the male personnel category, Mr. Suratchai Matan from the International College of Digital Innovation was awarded the 2nd runner-up prize.
- In the male students categort, Mr. Nay Thuta, a 2nd-year undergraduate student from the International College of Digital Innovation, achieved the 2nd runner-up position.
- In the female student category, Ms. Salina Kampfrath, a 3rd-year undergraduate student from the International College of Digital Innovation, secured the 1st runner-up position.
