International College of Digital Innovation, CMU Discusses Quantum Computing Collaboration with SCBx

International College of Digital Innovation
On Tuesday, 13 January 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the College, participated in a discussion on potential collaboration in Quantum Computing with SCBx, a leading driving force in financial technology innovation in Thailand. The meeting was held at Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited (Head Office), Chatuchak District, Bangkok.
The discussion was honored by the participation of Prof. Dr. Ralf Bornd?rfer and Prof. Dr. Thorsten Koch from the Zuse Institute Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ying Chen from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. The meeting also included members of the Society of Algorithmic Intelligence (SOAI), an organization established to bring together experts and foster collaboration in both scientific research and practical applications of intelligent algorithms. SOAI has also expressed its support for the international academic conference that ICDI is scheduled to host in late 2026, and its representatives kindly joined the Quantum Computing collaboration discussions on this occasion.
The collaboration discussions focused on the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and strategic directions in the development of Quantum Computing technologies, with the aim of paving the way for future cooperation in research collaboration, talent development, and real-world applications in business and the digital industry. This initiative is expected to strengthen Thailand’s innovation capabilities and support sustainable technological advancement in the future.
