The International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University has been invited by the People's Government of Zanhuang County to Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, People's Republic of China, for the purpose of negotiating academic cooperation.

On December 20, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m. (People's Republic of China time), the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, along with a group, was invited by the People's Government of Zanhuang County in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, People's Republic of China. During this visit, they met with leaders of the Zanhuang County Government, including Mr. Zhang Honggang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Zanhuang County Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, Ms. Shang Ruiyang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Zanhuang County Education Bureau, and Ms. Wang Ruiling, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Zanhuang County Party Committee and Director of the County Party Committee’s Organization Office.
The purpose of the visit was to engage in negotiations and cooperation on the following issues:
1. Public relations and support for students from Zanhuang District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, enabling them to study in international programs at Chiang Mai University.
2. Establishment of the Zanhuang Economic Development Zone in Hebei Province to support the cross-border e-commerce business industry (Cross-Border E-Commerce). The discussions also included guidelines for cooperation in these areas with the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University.
