Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School
On Friday, April 24, 2026, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University participated in the annual “Dam Hua” ceremony honoring former presidents, the current president, and senior faculty members of Chiang Mai University.
The event took place at the university hall, led by Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sophadang, Dean of MIdS CMU, together with executives and staff. Participants joined the ceremonial procession in traditional Lanna attire and took part in the ritual to pay respect and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Northern Thailand.
In addition, MIdS CMU sent a team to participate in the traditional Lanna “Larb” cooking competition, held in front of the university office building. The activity aimed to preserve, promote, and celebrate local culinary traditions.
The Dean also delivered a New Year blessing message (Pi Mai Mueang Festival) to executives and staff, wishing prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead, at MIdS CMU Building 2.
This meaningful participation reflects MIdS CMU’s commitment to cultural preservation, community engagement, and the continuation of valuable Lanna traditions.
