12 March 2020
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
Science and Technology Park, STeP, has created more than 200 business qualified entrepreneurs. STeP fosters success by driving research towards commerce that covers research conduction with private sectors, incubation of a technological business, technological transmission, allowance of right to use technology and innovative design, laboratory and equipment service, and technological prototype factory service. This visionary organization is led by Director Assistant Professor Dr. Thunyanuparb Anantana and Deputy Director Assistant Professor Dr. Kasemsuk Uthaichana.
Since 2014 STeP has lit up dreams for entrepreneurs, faculty members, researchers and students. 325 people have joined STeP’s “Pre-Incubations Program”, which has led to the creation of Startup business incubation for more than 50 persons. They are in the field of Software and Digital Content, Medical Industry and Biological Technology, Agricultural and Food Industry, Renewable Energy Technology, and Environment and Material Innovation. Priority funding worth more than 653 million baht is given to those that are expected to create added value and boost Thailand’s economics and society.
In 2019 STeP was awarded Thailand’s “Incubator” of the year and it was nominated by the Thai Business Incubator and Science Park Association to participate in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation and China IoT International Innovation Park “Incubator of the Year” competition.
