CMU ranked 1st in the ASEAN Region and 49th in the World in “Good Health and Well Being” 2020

In April 2020 the World University Ranking Institute of “Times Higher Education” in England announced The University Impact Rankings 2020, which utilizes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN: SDGs) criterion, with 766 universities around the world having participated in the rankings.

Chiang Mai University was ranked in “Good Health and Well Being of Society (SDG 3: Good Health and Well Being) as 49th in the world, 12th in Asia and 1st in the ASEAN region. Chiang Mai University’s strong ranking is due to the proactive strategies in food innovation, health and elderly care, implementing CMU’s 12th Educational and Development Plan to be a university proactively responsible for society and creating development for sustainable excellence.

Chiang Mai University as a whole has been ranked 301 – 400 in the world. The top 3 specific world rankings for CMU are: 49th for Good Health and Well – Being, 101 – 200 for Sustainable Cities and Communities Development and 201 – 300 for Promotion of Industry, Innovation and infrastructure.
