Proudly Representing ECON CMU on the AI Innovation Stage! Selected Among the Final 40 Teams.
5 June 2026
Faculty of Economics
Congratulations to Mr. Chalermsak Saenglee, a staff member of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.
His project, “AI Economic Intelligence Platform (Chiang Mai),” has been selected as one of the Top 40 Finalist Teams from a large pool of applicants across Chiang Mai Province in the project “Chiang Mai: A Global Hub for Digital Industry and Business,” organized by the Chiang Mai Provincial Industry Office in collaboration with Decentric Co., Ltd.
This achievement reflects a strong commitment to applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to economic data in order to develop intelligent tools that support data analysis, policy decision-making, and the sustainable development of Chiang Mai through more effective and evidence-based approaches.
The 40 selected teams will have the opportunity to participate in a series of one-on-one In-depth Consult sessions from June to July 2026. Under the guidance of digital business experts and mentors, each team will receive four intensive coaching sessions aimed at refining and developing their prototypes into practical, real-world solutions with the potential to generate economic and social value.
In addition, the finalist teams will be invited to showcase their innovations at the Showcase & Exhibition event scheduled for August 2026. Participants will be provided with exhibition booths for three full days, offering valuable opportunities to present their work, expand professional networks, engage with investors, entrepreneurs, and relevant stakeholders, and explore future collaboration opportunities.
The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, extends its heartfelt congratulations and takes great pride in this accomplishment. We wish the development team continued success in the next stages of the competition and encourage them to keep creating innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
