Opening Ceremony of Master Thai Chef Programme, Batch 1 as Part of ‘One Village, One Thai Chef’ Initiative

On May 4, 2026, Professor of Practice Dr. Ekkachai Mahaek, Vice President, presided over the opening ceremony of the Master Thai Chef Programme, Batch 1, held under the ‘One Village, One Thai Chef’ Initiative for Fiscal Year 2026. The program aims to advance food innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration. Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyapon Phongphio, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, delivered an overview of the project, which is a collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Chiang Mai University. Organised by the Innovative Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship Division, Department of Human Relations, Faculty of Humanities, the event took place at Room HB5200, Faculty of Humanities. The programme seeks to enhance the capabilities and professional standards of Thai chefs.
