Faculty of Economics Discusses New Interdisciplinary Curriculum Development with Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce

On 24 June 2026, the executive team of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, held a consultation meeting with representatives of the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce to exchange views and gather recommendations for the development of the Faculty's new interdisciplinary curriculum. The meeting was attended by Ms Anchalee Limlenglert, Treasurer of the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, and took place at the Distance Learning Room, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.
The meeting followed the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty and the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing their shared commitment to strengthening academic–industry collaboration. Discussions focused on aligning curriculum development with the evolving needs of the business and industrial sectors.
Participants also explored opportunities to foster stronger collaboration among the University, industry, policymakers, and the business community to co-design innovative curricula that respond to contemporary economic and societal challenges. The initiative aims to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to meet future workforce demands and contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
