ECON CMU Welcomes NCKU College of Social Sciences under the CMU – NCKU Inbound Mobility Programme 2026

On 31 August 2026 at 9.00 a.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with the Faculty’s executive team, welcomed executives, faculty members, and students from the College of Social Sciences, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, as part of the CMU – NCKU Inbound Mobility Programme 2026, taking place from 30 August to 5 September 2026.

The programme aims to enhance students’ understanding of social and cultural diversity, while strengthening their ability to adapt, communicate, and collaborate effectively and openly with people from different cultural backgrounds in an international environment.

It also seeks to enhance students’ capacity to examine and analyse policy innovations, synthesise knowledge, and apply their learning to address complex real-world challenges through critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.

Beyond student development, the programme contributes to strengthening academic ties between Chiang Mai University (CMU) and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), fostering a stronger, more sustainable, and tangible partnership while opening further opportunities to develop strategic international academic networks between the two institutions.

The visit also provides the Faculty of Economics with opportunities to explore future academic collaboration in a range of areas, including Student and Staff Mobility, Joint Teaching/Co-lecturing, and Joint Research Projects, contributing to the continued development of international academic capacity and long-term collaboration between the institutions.
