MIdS CMU Holds Strategic Workshop to Drive the Fiscal Year 2026 Strategic Plan

Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University (MIdS CMU) organized a Strategic Planning Workshop for Fiscal Year 2026 from October 31 to November 1, 2025. The event was opened by Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sophadang, Dean of MIdS CMU, who also presented the College’s Four-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2028) to administrators and staff.

During the session, Associate Professor Dr. Wantida Chaiyana, Associate Dean, provided an overview of the strategic planning process, guidelines for project funding proposals, and instructions for preparing income budget requests.

In the afternoon session, MIdS was honored to welcome Professor (Practice) Dr. Charin Techapan, Vice President of Chiang Mai University and Chair of the MIdS Executive Board, together with representatives from the CMU Planning Division, to deliver a special lecture on “Key Action Plans under the 13th Chiang Mai University Education Development Plan (2023–2027)” and the University’s expectations for MIdS. The session concluded with a group brainstorming activity to develop the Strategic Plan for Fiscal Year 2026, held at the InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping Hotel.

On the second day, each MIdS division presented its projects and activities proposed for funding to support the College’s strategic initiatives. Participants shared feedback and suggestions to refine and improve the operational plans.

The workshop concluded with a summary and closing remarks by Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of MIdS CMU, at the Conference Room, Building 2, MIdS CMU.
