Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Agriculture Participates in the 2025 ASEAN-China (Henan) Cooperation and Development Conference on Food and Agriculture
and the 4th “Belt and Road” (Henan) International Agricultural Cooperation Expo

On October 12–14, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Darunee Naprom, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University, represented Chiang Mai University at the 2025 ASEAN-China (Henan) Cooperation and Development Conference on Food and Agriculture, held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, People’s Republic of China. She was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Supakorn Wongsuk, a lecturer from the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.

During the visit, the delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the conference and attended the signing ceremony of the “China (Henan)–ASEAN Smart Agricultural Universities and Technology Innovation Alliance.” The alliance includes IPB University (Indonesia), National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (Lao PDR), and universities in Henan Province—Henan University of Technology, Henan Agricultural University, Henan Institute of Science and Technology, Henan University of Animal Husbandry and Economy, and Henan Vocational College of Agriculture.

The collaboration aims to strengthen research cooperation in integrated grain production processes, enhance technological innovation, and promote academic exchange among member institutions.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Naprom was honored to deliver a speech at the ASEAN–China (Henan) Smart Agriculture Development Exchange Forum on Monday, October 13, 2025, highlighting Chiang Mai University’s commitment to advancing smart and sustainable agriculture through international partnerships.
